MEMORIAL DAY FUN!

 


Today we went boat riding in the Pearl River. Chad's parents backyard backs up to the Pearl River, and it always scares me to death when they stay, but I know they watch them closely...I just worry like that! Poor Brooklynn looked like the pic above a lot of the time until she warmed up to boating...when it was time to leave she decided she liked it. They have natural waterfalls and several sandbars. I wish I could've gotten pictures of the beautiful sandbars, but unfortunately we had Chad's little camera and the battery went dead on me. I was nervous about taking my nice camera on the boat. Our preschool ministry at church put this petting zoo together and Brooklynn really had a good time. This is just a few of the animals that were there. Brooklynn used to be scared to ride, but she loved it today! The baby goats were so cute...they looked like they were kissing!

Needless to say I haven't gotten done what needs to be done since Austin got out of school. We have played, and played, and played!! I have had so much fun enjoying them together. This is going to be a fun summer...I'm sure it will be some trying times too, haha! The guys went to watch a bball game and while I need to be editing pics my little girl wanted me to jump on the trampoline so that's just what I did, and when I got tired I grabbed my camera to show you what I taught her...a toetouch!! She is so proud of herself...can you tell?

We celebrated Chad's Moms bday at our house this weekend and rented a slide from our friends at Rankin Rental and they had a blast! We kept it the next day and the kids wanted me to slide and I agreed...well after crawling up a 20ft slide and blasting into the wall at the bottom 20 times I'm still sore. It was great fun though.

I could probably post about 40 pics of this beautiful family, but for now here are a few. They are the sweetest, most photogenic family!!! I really enjoyed doing these. I can't wait to do more in the future and see Madden grow up...he is going to be a looker for sure!!!!

PICNIC TIME!

 
 
 
 



My children love a picnic! Brooklynn woke up during the night with fever and sore throat. When I got a whiff of her breath I knew right away what it was...strep. We went in to see the doc this am and sure enough mamas intuition was right on. She got her 5 booster shots this wk and the thought of another shot killed me and her, so we opted for the oral meds. All my poor baby wanted to do was go home and have a picnic with her dolls and me...so of course, you know what we did. Her daddy even came home to eat at our picnic, but it got moved to the front porch cause of the rain.

The picture of her feeding her babies is not posed, I promise. I ran in to grab my camera, because I peeled the orange just for her babies, ha!!!

MEET SNAPPI

 
 
 


Snappi is our newest addition! My mom works in a school and someone that works there went to Mynelle Gardens and got a couple of baby turtles and brought them to her office. So, of course, I said we'd take one!! I always thought turtles were scared to come out of their shells, but seriously this little guy is always out. He has found a good home, cause we play with him/her alot!(he is no bigger than a silver dollar...maybe i can take pics of him as he grows and post)

PRAYERS FOR KELSEY

 


Many of you know about sweet Kelsey and have been praying for her. She is a senior in high school in MS and has spent a lot of this year at MD Anderson. She has cancer in her wrist and has done several rounds of chemo and was scheduled for surgery this am at 9:30....I just got a text from her mom, Vicki, saying that surgery was cancelled because her white count was low. They are now shooting for Thursday. Instead of getting down about it, they always seem to have the most positive attitude, knowing everything is in Gods hands. They feel like its just more time for all of you prayer warriors to pray hard until Thursday. Please remember them in your prayers and if you would like to read about it and get journal updates, I'm telling you, each one I love to read and they are always so inspirational. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

 


We just got in from church, and are fixing to go see Nanny and Gran. I coordinated Austin & Brooklynn today and wanted to get a quick shot. I used to match them up when they were little all the time, but as they have gotten older that's just not cool to Austin. He was actually okay today...maybe cause it was Mothers Day. I hope each of you have a wonderful Mothers Day too

Since Brooklynn lost her bottom teeth this is how she wants to smile..I got to work on that, ha!

PREK GRADUATION

 
 
 
 


Brooklynn had her graduation last night for prek at the little church Mornings Mothers Out we send her to. When we moved here we found out about this church, and were lucky to get in. She has been going for two years and we wish she could just stay there forever! The director called yesterday and said you know Brooklynn can't wear a bow or pigtails tonight because her cap won't go on lol!! I just can't help it...they are so cute on her!! She looked so beautiful, did so good, and we were so proud!

Today was Austin's field day at school, and since Brooklynn was at mmo I was able to help. He has been looking forward to this for weeks. Afterwards I took a couple of friends home and we stopped at Sonic and ate outside. Then, we took a swim at Papaws...fun, fun day.

This year has been the most fun for us in baseball with Austin. They have an awesome little team, and they all play so well together. I promise to get some good pictures after next wk, but I'm not tall enough to reach over the fence, so I guess I'm going to have to breakdown and bring a stool to the next one!!
